Our April mission trip to Groves, Texas, was a huge success. Twenty PVS Mission volunteers traveled over 700 miles to minister to three families whose lives turned upside-down by Hurricane Harvey. We installed insulation and sheetrock in the Mitchell family’s home, primed and painted the interior walls at the Vargas’ home, and reworked the electrical wiring in the Simonton’s home. All three structures were heavily damaged by Hurricane Harvey’s storm surge, filling them with six and a half feet of water for three days. Please pray for these precious families, along with hundreds of others along the Texas Gulf Coast, as they continue rebuilding their homes and lives.
Our Ukraine Mission Team is busily preparing for their week of ministry in Kharkiv this summer. Thank you to everyone who has donated money and supplies for this kingdom cuase. Pray that we will remain sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading in this time of preparation.
On the local front, our “Jeruselem” Home Repair Ministry is taking the lead in the rebuilding the home of Mrs. Daniels on Flannery Street in East Rome, which received extensive damage during an early April thunderstorm. We are partnering with other churches of different denominations under the umbrella of Rome Kares Organization to minister in the name of Christ to those who do not have the resources to rebuild.
We remain faithfully committed to joining Christ on His mission to Glocally Reconcile Our World To Him!
