I became stunned when I watched the Mike Huckabee Show on May 26. He reported that the ‘Liberty Bill’ has been passed by the House of Representatives in Washington. Major news media outlets have not reported on this bill. Since 1964, churches have been allowed to hire staff of their own doctrinal persuasion. Included in this bill, churches will no longer be allowed this privilege. If this becomes law, we must consider lost people, people of other faiths and alternative lifestyle as candidates for ministry positions in our churches. The liberals in America are aggressively attempting to destroy our religious freedom and freedom of speech.
As we celebrate the July 4th, give thanks for the blessings we have to live in a free country. However, this is an important time to commit yourself to regularly contacting your representatives on a state and national level. The Biblical foundations of America are being destroyed. Will you stand by and do nothing?
