We have two opportunities to give an offering this month for two special ministries. On May 12, we will collect a special offering for the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home and Family Ministries (GBCHFM). In 1872, Second Baptist Church in Atlanta opened a children’s orphanage which later became the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home. Today, GBCHFM operates three children’s homes in Georgia and also provides foster care, special needs summer camps, teen maternity care, and much more.
Also on May 12, we will begin our Baby Bottle Boomerang Campaign. You can pick up a baby bottle and fill it with loose change, checks or cash. The bottle filled with your special offering are to be returned on June 16 (Father’s Day). The proceeds from the Baby Bottle Boomerang go to the Haven Health Clinic for Women. Haven Health is a local faith-based clinic that assists women with unwanted pregnancies.
Please give over and above your tithe to these ministries as the Lord leads you.
